It's a busy season for Apple with the speculated releases of the iPhone 5, iPad mini, and the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display.
MacWorld reported that upcoming 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display to have 8GB RAM, with 2.9GHz Core i7-3520M, and an updated version of the OS X Mountain Lion with a version number 10.8.1.
The 13-inch MacBook Pro Retina follows the 15-inch version which has exceeded Apple's initial demand.
As Latinos Post previously reported, to keep Retina customers' thirst satisfied, Apple has offered a new upgrade to the 15-inch users from supplier Other World Computing (OWC) with the new solid-state drive (SSD). The new drive will give users more storage space to 480GB over the current 256GB.
The OWC SSD upgrade cost $579.00, a heavy price but the advantage is it comes with a USB 3.0 that can store items used in the old 256GB drive.
However, the MacBook Pro Retina's popularity has led Mac users telling Microsoft to update their Office programs to support the Retina Macs, according to MacWorld.
According to MacWorld, one user complained that the Office programs for Mac 2011 look "practically unusable."
Others commented the Office for Mac programs look "very fuzzy," "crap", and "blurry" with the Retina display.
The only Office programs the supports Retina seems to be Outlook 2011, not Excel, PowerPoint, or Word.
Tech Radar says despite Microsoft gearing up for the Office 2013 edition, no word yet on a Retina-suitable edition or update.
As a substitute for Microsoft Office, Apple does offer the iWork, which is compatible with Retina.
