He’s the most well known news anchor of all time. He has a voice that can make a wolverine purr and an ability to report to news like no other. His passion, drive and enthusiasm has skyrocketed to the top of the anchor food chain. He loves scotch, his best friend Baxter and his large collection of leather bound books. His apartment smells of rich mahogany and he has a knack for the jazz flute. If you haven’t guessed from the obnoxious amount of “Anchorman” quotes, I’m referring to Ron Burgundy.

The fictional news anchor, played by comedic genius Will Ferrell, could be the voice of a generation. He’s the greatest character in one of the greatest comedy films of all time. He deserves his praise and recognition, and now the celebrated anchor is exploring new territory. No longer will he be confined to the walls of the newsroom. On Nov. 19, he’s dropping his autobiography, titled ‘Let Me Off at the Top!: My Classy Life and Other Musings.”

“I’ve been asked to talk about why I wrote my highly, highly anticipated autobiography ‘Let Me Off at the Top!’” Will Ferrell, or Ron Burgundy, says in an exclusive preview via Entertainment Weekly. “Well for one thing, it turns out I’m a great book writer. I’ve always been a great anchorman and great flute player and great collector of fine, leather bound manuscripts, but low and behold I really can write a heck of a book.”

“I’m not going to lie to you, this is a very important book from an important man. I was the number one news anchor in all of San Diego. My name is Ron Burgundy, and what you have in your hands is a very big deal. It’s my life. It’s my words. It’s my gift to you.”

The book will makes its debut ahead of the “Anchorman” sequel, “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,” which hits theaters Dec. 20.
