Sorry Verizon HTC One owners. Even though fellow Galaxy S4 users on Big Red's network are currently receiving the highly anticipated Android 4.3 Jelly Bean upgrade, HTC One owners will have to wait longer. The latest update on the update (no pun intended) reveals that it could take up to a month for the patch to hit the airwaves.

The reason for the long wait is because Verizon and HTC apparently have to rework the coding of the patch. HTC America president Jason Mackenzie, who's been keeping U.S. and Canada HTC One owners in the loop on the whole process, took to Twitter to explain where exactly the Verizon HTC One update is.

Verizon is the only one of the four major U.S. carriers to have not rolled out Android 4.3 for the HTC One yet. Carriers AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile have all pushed out the upgrade, with Sprint and AT&T doing it in the beginning of October. Verizon was expected to have its patch out at the end of October, but it looks like it will be delayed into November, or in a worst-case scenario, December.

In other HTC One news, international variants of the HTC One are currently receiving Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and Sense 5.5 in a packaged download. Sense 5.5 is not included in the U.S. Android 4.3 updates, and will likely land Stateside at a later date in a separate download.
