Could Mario Balotelli be on his way out of AC Milan?

His agent Mino Raiola recently hinted that he expected the Italian superstar to leave Italy in the near future.

"There is an exaggerated amount of attention on him in Italy," said Balotelli's agent according to Fanatix. "We all need to calm down and analyse how things are going with Milan.

"Italy will not be the final stage of his career, for sure."

One of the rumored destinations is Chelsea. The English side has struggled to find consistent goal scoring from its forward unit and is looking for a cornerstone to build around. The current crop of forwards that Jose Mourinho is deploying includes Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba. Ba has rarely featured in Mourinho's Chelsea while Eto'o came on for one year as an emergency when the team realized that it could not get Wayne Rooney. Torres, as everyone already knows, has been maddeningly inconsistent and recently scored his first goal of the season in his seven Premier League appearance. The trio has combined for a grand total of two goals thus far this season.

Chelsea also has young Romeleu Lukaku waiting in the wings, but he is currently on loan with Everton. Regardless of whether Lukaku winds up being the future of the team, Balotelli is already ready to take the mantle and could potentially form a dynamic duo with the Belgian.

Another rumored target for Chelsea is the red-hot Diego Costa. The Atletico Madrid forward is one of the top scorers in the Spanish League and is expected to cash in on his recent success.
