Manchester City and Chelsea will face off in a pivotal Premier League match on Sunday.

The Blues enter the game with 17 points while City enters the match with 16; first place Arsenal currently has 22 points and has not lost since the first game of the season.

One of the more interesting stories heading into the match will be the matchup between managers Jose Mourinho and Manuel Pellegrini. Mourinho, Chelsea's current boss, replaced Pellegrini as Real Madrid's manager a few years ago and trashed his predecessor on his choice to head to Malaga and his achievements with Madrid. Pellegrini insists that these past insults are not on his mind heading into the game.

"I don't talk about what other managers say. That is not my duty. That is not my way of thinking about the profession. There are different ways to go about what you say and what you don't say." Pellegrini said according to ESPN. "I am not telling you I don't like Jose. I am a different person. [It is a] different style, not only [in] football. He has [won] a lot of titles. He has his way and I respect him."

For Mourinho, the importance of winning the game transcendences any past difficulties between the two managers.

"We want to win," Mourinho said in a report from ESPN. "A win is good. Losing is not good. At this moment, with the way the Premier League is going week after week, I think no result will put a team in a great situation. No result will put a team in a difficult situation."

He did take some time to take a jab at City by downplaying the opposition's importance in the game.

"We have tests every week, every week. It's a big team, yes. A very good team. But every match is a test and three points. It doesn't make a difference."

Prediction: Chelsea wins 1-0.

Start Time: 12 p.m.
