Schalke 04 and Borussia Dortmund face off in the hotly anticipated Dortmund derby on Saturday.

Dortmund enters in second place with seven wins, one draw and one loss in nine league games. Meanwhile, Schalke sits in fifth place with four wins, two draws and three losses this year.

"There is no other game in Germany which electrifies the masses as much as this derby," said Schalke coach Jens Keller, according to Goal.com. "Every player knows what is at stake. A derby win means as much to the players as it does to the fans."

"Derbies are one of a kind - they'll never lose that," added Borussia Dortmund coach Jürgen Klopp, according to Bundesliga.com. "They're so intense and full of passion."

A year ago, Schalke managed two wins over their rivals in the competition; it was the first time since the 2009-10 season that the Royal Blues accomplished the feat.

Dortmund is coming off a 2-1 win against Arsenal. The team did not play its best match and was thoroughly dominated by the English side, but managed to score big goals when it mattered most. Meanwhile, Schalke is coming off a 3-0 loss against Chelsea in the Champions League.

Prediction: Schalke has not looked good all season long; Dortmund has been terrific throughout the year and will be motivated to avoid losing three straight against its local rivals. Expect a 2-1 win by Borussia Dortmund.

Start Time: Kickoff starts at 9:30 a.m. EST
