Amidst the debuts of the iPad Air, iPad mini with Retina Display, and release of OS X Mavericks, Apple Inc. introduced the "most radical" Mac Pro.

Apple announced the new Mac Pro that is architected around a unified thermal core in order for the device to share its thermal capacity to all processors.

"The new Mac Pro is our vision for the future of the pro desktop, everything about it has been reimagined and there has never been anything like it," said Apple's Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing Philip Schiller.

The Mac Pro features the newest Intel Xeon processors with up to 12 cores. It also supports six Thunderbolt 2 ports, dual workstation-class GPUs, PCle-based flash storage, and touted to have "ultra-fast" ECC memory.

Ahead of its December release date, Apple sent the new Mac Pro to executives involved in the technology business.

"From the blazing fast performance of DaVinci Resolve to real-time video capture with UltraStudio 4K, Mac Pro is a revolution in pro desktop design and performance," said Blackmagic Design CEO Grant Petty, in a statement.

"At 20Gbps, Mac Pro's Thunderbolt 2 blows away anything on the market and completely changes the external storage landscape," said PROMISE Technology CEO James Lee.

The Mac Pro is supported by a fan in order to air the device. With the new fan, the Mac Pro is able to run as quiet as the Mac mini, according to Apple.

With the six Thunderbolt 2 ports, each port is able to take up to 20Gbps of bandwidth per device.

The Mac Pro will be available in two models. The 3.7GHz quad-core Intel Xeon E5 processor with 10MB L3 cache and Turbo Boost up to 3.8GHz is priced at $2,999. The 3.5GHx 6-core Intel Xeon with 12MB L3 cache and Turbo Boost up to 3.9GHz is priced at $3,999.
