The release date to "Star Wars: Episode VII" may be announced in the coming months.
According to Yahoo! Movies UK, a brochure distributed last week in London at the European Brand Licensing Show said "'Episode VII's release date as Spring/Summer 2015." As a result, pundits have started speculating that the first chapter in the new "Star Wars" trilogy could open in May 2015.
The rumors fueled a stronger response when Disney recently began billing the "Avengers" sequel, "Age of Ultron," with a summer 2015 relase date instead of its original May 2015 slot.
Yahoo! Movies UK is also reporting that the "annual Star Wars Celebration set for April 2015 is being touted as timed with the release of 'Star Wars: Episode VII,' which would make it a close calendar companion to a May 'Epsiode VII' bow."
Disney has not confirmed any release date and therefore it is too soon to know when the film will be released.
The company has yet to announce its cast, but rumors speculate that Disney and Lucasfilm will make announcements next month. Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, and Anthony Daniels are rumored to star in the upcoming installment.
Details on the script have not been released, but it is rumored that the film will take place after the events of the sixth installment in the franchise, "Return of the Jedi." The film is currently being written by Michael Arndt and will be directed by J.J Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy will produce the film, which will be shot in the U.K. in January.
