Telemundo has announced that one of its upcoming telenovelas is "La Impostora."
The studio revealed that the new production is currently filming in Mexico and will feature Christian Bach, Sebastián Zurita and Lisette Morelos. According to the press release the telenovela will feature an "epic love story full of thrills, intrigue and real-life situations." Additionally, it will also be Zurita's first production for Telemundo and his first appearance in a telenovela alongside his mother, actress and producer Bach.
The series will also mark Bach's second project with Telemundo after playing the acclaimed role of Antonia Guerra in "La Patrona."
Morelos also returns to television for the lead role. She recently portrayed Blanca Ponce de León in Telemundo's "Aurora."
According to the press release, "'La Impostora' tells the story of Blanca Guerrero (Lisette Morelos), an attractive waitress in the beach resort of Puerto Vallarta. However she is talented in for impersonations. One day, a powerful businessman named Adriano Ferrer hires Guerrero to impersonate a wealthy New York investor. As part of her mission, she infiltrates the household of the Altamira family to discover the whereabouts of Adriano's missing son. The plot gets complicated when she falls in love with Eduardo Altamira (Sebastián Zurita), the son of Raquel Altamira (Christian Bach), with whom she begins a passionate love affair."
Telemundo is currently airing "Marido en Alquiler," "Santa Diabla," and recently completed "Dama y Obrero." The network also aired "La Patrona," "Relaciones Peligrosas," "El Senor de Los Cielos" and "Pablo Escobar."
"La Impostora" is set to debut on the network before the end of the year.
