The leaks are coming fast and loose now that the Google Nexus 5 is rumored to have a release date soon after its late October reveal. We know the specs, the price, the KitKat 4.4 Android operating system, and have had some images of the Nexus 5 for weeks now. The most recent leak is a rumored press shot, showing the purported white Nexus 5 in all its glory.

The leak comes from C-Technology, which has been known for getting its hands on early images and specs before. The image looks exactly like the Google Nexus 5 black press image that we've seen floating around the web before, but instead its white, with a silver-colored landscape "Nexus" on the back and a silver lens casing.

We've known that the Nexus 5 would probably be offered at its release date in both black and white variants. But this image does bring something different to the table: a previously leaked image of the packaging for a purported white Nexus 5 seemed to show that the front of the handset would be black, with only the back of the device being all white (via Android Authority).

But this image would have us believe that the whole device will be shining white. Of course, the image could just be a photoshop job, and that possibility is not out of the range of possibility.

We do know that the Nexus 5 is on its way - whether it's during a Google event this week or closer to Halloween is left to be debated.

We also know - pretty much - what the Nexus 5 will bring. According to the most agreed-upon rumors and details, the Google Nexus 5 will feature a 4.96-inch Full HD 1080p display, running on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with an Adreno 330 GPU supporting Open GL 3.0. We're thinking the CPU on the system on a chip will be clocked somewhere above 2GHz.

The phone should also come with 2GB of RAM, and an 8 or 13-megapixel main camera. Of course, this Nexus handset will be LTE capable.

The price for the 16GB Google Nexus 5 has been leaked by Google of all places, though accidentally. A few days ago, the 16GB Nexus 5 appeared, albeit briefly, on the Google Play Store, showing a $349 price - which is about what rumors were putting the price at. The 32GB Nexus 5 will probably, therefore, retail at more than $400.
