The petition to try and convince Rockstar to release a PC edition of Grand Theft Auto 5 continues to grow, and details of finding cameos from past franchise characters have been revealed.

The petition, which can be found on Change.org, now has over 600,000 signatures. This is over 100,000 more than the goal set by the original petition, which shows that despite the game's release on September 17, there is a large community of gamers who wish to see the game come to the PC. There have been some rumors that Rockstar will release a PC port of the game sometime in 2014, but nothing has been set in stone so far by the developer. Perhaps they are waiting to see if any more game breaking bugs show up in the game before committing to the port.

While players wait on news about a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5, they can look around Los Santos and find several characters from previous games. For example, the protagonist from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, CJ, appears with his friends Sweet and Ryder. During the Hood Safari mission, if the player turns right instead of left heading towards the drug pickup, they will see the three characters dressed in green.

Niko Bellic, the main protagonist of Grand Theft Auto 4, is briefly mentioned by Lester during the planning for the first heist in the game. Lester makes mention of a Eastern European fellow from Liberty City who got out of the crime lifestyle. In addition, player can find the characters LifeInvader page to find out more about the character.

Several radio personalities from past Grand Theft Auto games return for the fifth game in the series. One example is Fernando Martinez, the radio DJ who has appeared in every game in the series since Grand Theft Auto 3. Players can listen to the familiar voice while cruising the streets. DJ Lazlow, who appeared as a radio personality in all the main entries in the series, makes his first on-screen appearance during the Fame or Shame mission, and players get the opportunity to mess with the amoral man.

Finally, the protagonist from Red Dead Redemption, John Marston makes a unique cameo in the game. Marston is available as a heritage choice for Grand Theft Auto Online. By hitting the special father option in the character creation stage, users will be able to continue the legacy of the legendary cowboy.
