Arsenal will look to stay atop the English Premier League when it takes on Norwich City on Friday.
The Gunners have been the feel good story of the 2013-14 season as they have not lost a single game in any competition since losing against Aston Villa in the opening game of the season. Their resurgence has led many pundits to predict them as the top contenders for the Premier League title. However, manager Arsene Wenger is not ready to hang on his laurels and does not want his players to get to too confident.
''We have learned something in the last 18 months, that the Premier League has changed, that every single game is a potential danger for any team in the league and the recent results in the Premier League have confirmed that," said Wenger according to ESPN. ''Every team who is favorite today is on its toes because they know every game is a potential danger.''
The team is without a number of star players including Theo Walcott, Bacary Sagna, and Mesut Ozil. However, Wenger is confident with the group he has in the meantime.
"You want all of your best players to play together in a very positive way, which is what will happen," he added. ''I am very happy with the team who has played until now, so we do not expect anything special (from the players coming back).
There has also been a great deal of talk of partnering Ozil and Santi Cazorla. While Wenger sees the potential in the combination, he is more focused on seeing the team work together.
''What is important is that instead of focusing on one or two players, we focus on developing ourselves as a team and our team play, where there is still room for improvement. There is still the desire within the team to improve that.''
Prediction: Arsenal wins 1-0.
