The Kickstarter campaign for the new "Creditors" film launched this past weekend and has already obtained some serious backing from international artists.
The campaign launched on Saturday Oct. 12 and included a pitch video that detailed the production needs and aims as well as a short video that showcased scenes and images of the film that have already been filmed. According to Director Ben Cura, the cast and crew has already shot one week worth of the film and seeking the funds to finish out the remainder of the project. Cura, who is starring in the film alongside Christian McKay, Simon Callow and Andrea Deck, is asking potential backers for a total of 200,000 pounds. The campaign runs November 17. As of Wednesday Oct. 16, the project has topped the 15,000 pound mark.
Those interested in investing will be given a plethora of different rewards depending on how much they give to the project. Backers can earn tracks from the sound tracks, DVDs of the film, access to making-of featurettes, T-Shirts and copies of the script. Those willing to give 750 pounds or more will get the chance to be an actor in the film and will even be credited regardless of whether they attend the shoot or not.
At 5,000 pounds, supporters will be listed as executive producers and may even get the chance to showcase their company logo in the film's credits. They will also receive the opportunity to join the cast and crew in a London screening and will even get a chance to attend a post-screening party.
Renowned Baritone Thomas Hampson and Olivier winner Sally Dexter are among those who have already backed the project.
