"X Factor" judge Paulina Rubio could be kicked out of her Miami home by her neighbors because, according to Gossip Extra, the singer has not paid upkeep on her condo for over a year and a half.
Informative website ABC (Spain) points out that currently, the Mexican singer also known as the "Golden Girl" is living in her condo, which she has owned since 1994. The luxurious Miami condo was acquired by Rubio thanks to her ex-boyfriend Ricardo Bofill, but now she will have to share it with businessman Colate following their divorce.
The Golden Girl's neighbors say that Rubio has a debt which has been growing for 18 months comprised of bills, fines and various expenses resulting in a $30,000 debt. The singer must pay $1,617.36 monthly for the condo.
The last payment Rubio made was in April 2012 and since then she has been in debt over the 222-square-meter condo she bought for $410,000.
Entertainment magazine TVNotas shares that the manager of the building is currently in possession of a foreclosure request neighbors have signed against the singer and added "We're using all the tools at our disposition, but I can't make any further comments because of legal matters."
The building's management has not given any further statements, saying that the case is being handled by lawyers. ABC also explains that the apartment and other properties owned by the singer could be in danger after the divorce process she has with Colate.
Although the businessman won't have access to some of the singer's properties because the singer bought residencies in the US, Mexico and Spain under her mother's name, Susana Dosamantes, to protect herself from an embargo that could come as a consequence of the various lawsuits against her.
