Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson are talks for the upcoming "Jurassic World."
Deadline reported that Simpkins would star in the upcoming sequel to the hit franchise. The "Iron Man 3" breakout star would be reuniting with Steven Spielberg (Executive Producer) who directed him in "War of the Worlds."
Meanwhile, Robinson who last starred in "The Kings of Summer," is in consideration to play Simpkins' older brother in the film.
Bryce Dallas Howard is the only other actress to have been cast for the film but more announcements are expected to arrive in the coming weeks.
There have been no plot details confirmed as of yet. However, it is known that Colin Trevorrow will direct the film from a script by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley will produce the film.
Simpkins has recently been seen in "Revolutionary Road," "Pride and Glory," "Little Children" and "Insidious."
Robinson has been seen in "Boardwalk Empire," "Melissa & Joey," and "Frenemies." He will next be seen in "Liberation! The Musical."
The "Jurassic Park" series is one of the most lucrative franchises of all time. The first "Jurassic Park" was released in 1993 and became an instant classic. The following film was released in 1997 and the third film launched in 2001.
"Jurassic World" is slated to be released in 2015 and will go up against a number of franchise films including "Avengers: Age of Ultron," "Batman vs. Superman," "Star Wars: Episode VII," "Ant-Man," "Assassin's Creed," "Terminator" and "Independence Day 2."
The new film is scheduled for a release on June 12, 2015.
