The Mexican edition of Glamour magazine celebrated its 15th anniversary with a big gala that saw many important guests including Demi Lovato, Eva Longoria and Roselyn Sánchez. According to the Huffington Post, the three Latina stars received awards during the event, held in the Casino del Bosque in Mexico City.
The former Desperate Housewives star shared pictures from the ceremony through the Who Say account. In one of them, Longoria can be seen with Lovato and Sánchez, while in another one Longoria and Sánchez are relaxing in a couch backstage. "Roselyn Sanchez and I in Mexico drinking a lot of tequila," she captioned the photo.
Other Mexican stars that were invited to the Glam Awards include Eiza González, former RBD Dulce María, Aislinn Derbez (daughter of Eugenio Derbez) and Rebecca de Alba.
Sánchez, who plays Carmen Luna in the hit series "Devious Maids," took to Twitter to thank Glamour magazine for inviting her to the event. "Thank you Mexico, thank you Glamour Mexico, thank you Eva Hughes, thank you Lucy Lara! I had a great time, what an honor! I hope to be back soon. #deviousmaids."
According to the Huffington Post, Longoria took advantage of her trip to Mexico to work in her upcoming movie "Refugio," directed by Demián Bishir. The actress reportedly worked in the film's set, that consists of a circus tent, where she fell in love with a beautiful horse. "What a beauty!!," wrote the star on Who Say. "I love my new co-star in the film! He's a good kisser!!," she captioned in a second picture.
Back in August, Longoria was honored with the NCLR's "ALMA de Tu Mundo" award, for use of her fame and talent to create awareness on various philanthropic causes and to help the Latino community, People en Español informed.
"The solidarity work is critical to our community, because by defending the rights of Latinos we are defending the rights of everyone. That's how we all can move forward together," said Longoria. I feel very honored to be here because I was born in the United States, but I feel Mexican at heart," she added.
"Acting is my profession, but helping the Latino community is my passion and mission of life. That's why I created the Eva Longoria Foundation, to support the Latino community, which, as we know, is powerful, influential and has a limitless potential," she explained.
