Kingdom Hearts 3 is one of the most anticipated games coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and Square Enix has released a new trailer for the game showing off the gameplay. Needless to say, it is quite a sight to see brand new Kingdom Hearts battles, and this time around the environments seem to be a much bigger factor in the way the action plays out.

The trailer begins with Sora, Donald, and Goofy taking on some standard Heartless types in what looks to be Twilight Town. Immediately notable is the graphics upgrade, which makes sense considering the leap to next-gen consoles. Sora launches some fire spells, which streak across the screen like comets as oppose to the red blobs in previous installments. Sora shows some new combos swinging the Keyblade around, and the sequence ends with Sora literally shooting Fire spells everywhere as his Keyblade turns into two magical guns.

The next scene is a bit strange, to say the least. Sora is on a swinging, brightly lit ship (much like a carnival ride), and he is standing on the bow trying to attack the Heartless as the ship goes back and forth. This proves difficult due to the moving platform, and eventually the ship is shown doing full flips quite fast. The command menu is labeled Pirate Ship during this sequence, indicating that this ship may be a new form of summons.

The final scene of the trailer is much more epic. Sora, Donald, and Goofy must fight the two headed rock titan from the movie Hercules. Since the monster towers over the player, Sora and company ride a magical train (labeled Big Magic Mountain in the command menu) around the beast. Donald and Goofy take a back seat as Sora counters the rock titan's attacks by throwing his Keyblade at the monster as the train circles around. Sora is also seen leaping off the train to deal more direct attacks on his foe. The trailer ends with Sora and his companions directing the train to hit the rock titan head on as they leap out, though the trailer fades to white before we see how effective the attack is.

The trailer looks great and shows some epic moments to tide fans over as they wait for Kingdom Hearts 3, which does not have a release date as of yet.
