Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is all the rage now, with most major mobile device manufacturers bumping their products up to the latest Android version in an attempt to bolster holiday sales and stem Android fragmentation frustration. While it's not a major flagship device like its bigger, older brother, the HTC One mini will be joining the club, with Android 4.3 arriving before the end of 2013, according to an insider.

HTC modder and developer LlabTooFeR, well known for his tips on HTC firmware issues, recently revealed to a fellow Twitter user that the HTC One mini should get Android 4.3 before the end of 2013.

The news should come as no surprise, but it is welcome reassurance for all the HTC One mini owners on AT&T's network in America. HTC recently kicked off its HTC One Android 4.3 update campaign, but had made no major announcements regarding the HTC One mini.

HTC is currently in the process of upgrading HTC Ones in America to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. While this is seemingly out of order (international models usually get Android updates first due to the tedious, red tape-filled carrier approval process), there is a caveat: there is no Sense 5.5. HTC is expected to begin rolling Sense 5.5 alongside Android 4.3 to international HTC Ones sometime in November. Sense 5.5 has been unofficially confirmed for the HTC One mini, meaning the handset will probably receive an Android 4.3 + Sense 5.5 download package.
