On the next episode of "Beauty and the Beast," Cat has a new dilemma: her beloved Vincent has no idea who she is.
The season opener revealed that Vince's (Jay Ryan) memory was wiped clean by Muirfield. In episode two, he still won't remember his love. Yet, TVLine reports that they will engage in an intimate "pastime" to try to awaken his memory...and perhaps some other things.
Before that occurs, season two will open with Vincent being MIA, and Cat (Kristen Kreuk) will work with J.T. (Austin Basis) and Tess (Nina Lisandrello) to try to find him again. A tip will lead her to Rikers Island, where Vincent is carrying out a secret mission.
TVLine released a sneak peak that shows Cat giving Tess an update over the phone when Vincent suddenly emerges, putting his hand over Cat's mouth. He is obviously not too happy to see her.
In the season opener, Cat (Kristin Kreuk) rescues Vincent, and it becomes clear that his memory has been erased. It's also revealed that the man interrogating Vincent is named Li Zhao, who says that the FBI came to him 15 years prior about the project. He threatens to go to the press if they try to shut down the project. Zhao then says he wants Vincent back ASAP.
Vincent then gets a call from a man named Condor, who is revealed to be Reynolds (Ted Whittall). He gives Vince instructions to take down Zhao, and Cat secretly trails him. Vincent finds Zhao, with Cat following. Cat knocks out Zhao right before the room starts to catch fire. As the fire spreads, Vince grabs Cat and jumps out a window with her as the room explodes behind them. But Reynolds is informed that Zhao managed to escape again, and hopes that Vincent will go after him again. Later, Cat tells a confused Vince that they'll "get to fall in love with each all over again." At the episode's end, Cat wakes up to a phone call from Tess, and sees that Vince is gone. Tess (Nina Lisandrello) tells Cat there has been a murder. Cat rushes to the crime scene to find that Li Zhao was mauled to death. Next Monday's episode is called "Kidnapped." The CW synopsis reads: "While attempting to learn more about Vincent's (Jay Ryan) mission, Cat (Kristin Kreuk) gets kidnapped by Vincent. Their growing chemistry complicates his mission. Meanwhile, Tess (Nina Lisandrello), J.T. (Austin Basis) and Gabe (Sendhil Ramamurthy) come together to help Cat." Watch the promo for "Kidnapped" below, which airs Monday at 9 p.m. on The CW.
