Jon Snow may get the promotion he deserves. No longer will he rot in the cold and dungy ranks of the Night’s Watch. Instead, he could be joining one of the greatest superhero squads of all time.
Kit Harington, who plays heartthrob Jon Snow on “Game of Thrones,” is being considered for the “Fantastic Four” reboot, Variety reports. The actor is in the running to play Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, who has the ability to stretch and mold his body into any shape or size desired. However, Harington will have to outshine several worthy contenders, including Jack O’Connell and Miles Teller.
Contenders for the role of Sue Storm, first played by Jessica Alba in the two previous “Fantastic Four” movies include Saoirse Ronan, Kate Mara and Margot Robbie. The movie will begin shooting in early 2014 and is slated for a 2015 release.
Kit Harington would make his much deserved transition from television into film, appeasing the hordes of Jon Snow fans worldwide.
In “Game of Thrones” news, Harington recently opened up about how his character's growing popularity among fans will translate in season 4. For starters, we're going to be seeing much more of Jon as he returns to the Night's Watch and faces a difficult crossroads.
"It's a big season for Jon Snow," Harington told TVLine. "Without telling you what happens, it's a heavy action season... God, this is probably my biggest season to date. So I've got to live up to it and do right by Jon and do right by the books' fans."
"He's learning of his brothers' deaths and his stepmother's death - although they didn't get on - and he's learning of the Lord Commander's death," he adds. "On top of that, he's trying to get over the heartbreak of leaving Ygritte, and he's having to deal with the backlash from him leaving the Night's Watch."
“Game of Thrones” will return to HBO in the spring.
