Samsung's Galaxy Note 3 release in the United States is finally essentially complete. As of Oct. 10, the handset is finally available for purchase through the five biggest wireless networks in the United States, with Verizon and U.S. Cellular being the latest releases.
The Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 went on sale Oct. 10 for the price of $300 with a two-year contract. Those on Verizon's Edge program can pick one up for $0 down and subsequent monthly payments of $29.31 for 24 months. A Verizon Galaxy Note 3 with no obligations whatsoever costs $700.
Carrier U.S. Cellular is also selling the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, offering a $50 discount for customers who switch to the network from another and bringing down the total price with a two-year contract to $250.
Verizon and U.S. Cellular are the last of the major U.S. national wireless networks to release the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. T-Mobile kicked off the festivities, followed closely by AT&T and Sprint.
All five carriers also offer the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch for sale. The Galaxy Gear smartwatch is meant to provide users with an easy alternative to pulling the phone out of the pocket every time a function needs to be performed - it's not a phone replacement, but an easier way to access Android phone functions.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes equipped with a 5.7-inch 1080p Full HD display, a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, and 3GB RAM. The rear-facing camera is capable of taking stills at 13 megapixels and the front-facing camera is no slouch either at 2 megapixels. The phablet features Android 4.3 Jelly Bean right out of the box, as well as the new S Pen electronic stylus.
