Fans of the HBO series “Eastbound and Down” are familiar with the show’s wild and often offensive antics. From drug use to disturbing and degrading sexual content, it knows no bounds, not even eastward. The show’s protagonist, Danny McBride’s Kenny Powers, is the catalyst for the show’s success and keeps fans coming back for more outlandish behavior. The quotes are memorable, his stupidity is contagious and his bottled insecurities leave room for heartbroken sympathy. He’s the perfect character, but he’s not the only memorable character to grace the show.
“Eastbound and Down” has featured a handful of guest and semi-recurring roles from the likes of comedic heavyweights Will Ferrell, Craig Robinson and many more. This time around, however, a rather shocking guest will make his debut appearance on the show, and a first look from behind-the-scenes previews the naked side’ of a prolific public figure.
Marilyn Manson, otherwise known as Brian Hugh Warner, showed up to the set of “Eastbound and Down” earlier this month without his trademark makeup that has won over the hearts of goth teens nationwide. He’s nearly unrecognizable. Manson has been a longtime fan of the show - He’s even exchanged emails with McBride- and is now getting the chance to live out his dream, as if being a world renowned rockstar wasn’t enough. "I get weird emails for Marilyn Manson now," McBride told MTV News in 2010. "He sends me weird emails in the middle of the night of what he's watching on TV, and you can hear him giggling in the background. One time he literally sent me a 'Peanuts' special I guess he was watching."
There’s no official word of when Manson’s cameo will air, but keep your eyes peeled. Episode 3, titled “Chapter 24,” airs Sunday night on HBO.
