The Vancouver Canucks will look to win their second straight game of the season when they face off against the Calgary Flames Sunday.

Vancouver got off to a rough start on Thursday with a 4-1 loss against the San Jose Sharks. However, the team bounced back with a blowout 6-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.

Now they take on a Calgary side that has impressed with three of four points in its first two games. The team lost 5-4 against the Washington Capitals in the shootout on Thursday but bounced back by ruining the Columbus Blue Jackets' home opener with a 4-3 victory.

Now the team returns home full of confidence.

"That was huge for us to get that early confidence in two tough buildings," said TJ Galiardi, according to Calgary's official website. . "We're feeling pretty good and we're ready for the home opener."

"Confidence is huge," Lance Bouma noted. "It was a good road trip and now we've got to build off it."

Mark Giordano currently leads Calgary with three points this season; Karri Ramo and Joey MacDonald have split goaltending duties through the first two games.

Meanwhile, Vancouver has relied on Roberto Luongo through two games. The netminder had a round outing against San Jose and only stopped 88.6 percent of the shots he faced. However, he was more comfortable against Edmonton on Saturday.

Prediction: Calgary is off to a solid start but the Canucks are the better team. Expect a 4-1 Vancouver win.
