When the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s hit retailers, Walmart already had one of the better deals around. You could get the iPhone 5c for $79 on its release date. The price is normally $99 with a two-year contract.
Target and Best Buy eventually started offering deals too, but starting on Friday, the cheapest ways to get the iPhone 5c became even cheaper.
That's because Best Buy has begun offering a free $50 gift card for people buying an iPhone 5c (or a Samsung Galaxy S4 as well). That makes the price of the budget iPhone just $49 with a contract. RadioShack (remember RadioShack?) is offering the iPhone 5c for $49 as well.
Not to be outdone, Walmart has made its low price even lower: now you can get the cheap version of the new iPhone for $45 at Walmart.
Target has also decided to join the iPhone 5c sale madness, offering the iPhone 5c for Walmart's original $79.
The normal price for the iPhone 5c is $99 for the 16GB version and $199 for the 32GB model - both with a two-year contract. Unlocked prices are $549 and $649 respectively.
The iPhone 5c comes in five candy-colored models, including green, yellow, blue, white, and pink. The phone features an A6 processor and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera - both of which were featured on the iPhone 5. In fact, most of the specs and features of the device are the same as last year's iPhone 5.
One new thing the iPhone 5c offers is iOS 7, the redesigned mobile operating system that features updated Siri, flat icons, and lots of colors. The iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s are available on most U.S. carriers, including the major four wireless companies: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and Sprint.
