The princess of pop's newest music video proves that Britney is back in all her midriff-baring, hip-thrusting glory.
The music video for Britney Spears' newest single, "Work Bitch," premiered last night during the I Heart Radio Concert in Las Vegas, which aired on The CW.
The anticipated video is classic Britney. In the video, the 31-year-old pop star shows off her toned body in skimpy outfits and sky high heels while popping and locking to speedy choreography. All the while, she is sing-talking the lyrics to her song, which provide the simple message that if you want to "live fancy," you better work, bitch.
The video has a lot of different themes, with one being Brit dancing in the desert with a bevy of backup dancers to a dominatrix scene in a luxurious mansion. Then in another scene, mannequins are being inexplicably blown up.
The video release comes shortly after it was announced that Britney will follow in the footsteps of music legends Cher and Celine Dion with a residency in Las Vegas. Her Vegas show, titled "Britney: Piece of Me," will begin on December 27 at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and will run for two years, according to Starpulse.
She will perform four of the shows before the end of 2013, including a performance on New Year's Eve. She will have a brief hiatus after her New Year's show, and will being performing again on Jan. 29. Sixteen dates have been announced for her concerts so far. She will perform over 50 shows throughout the two years, with shows on alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays and on Fridays and Saturdays.
Britney said on Good Morning America that the show will include a mix her old and new hits, and will have an atmosphere that is part dance club, part theater.
"We wanted the environment to be that way so people could come and have a good time and stand up and feel like they're in the show with me," Spears said, according to USA Today. "I love Vegas. The energy here is really, really good."
Her eighth studio album, which is not yet titled, will be released on December 3. The album will be her first album since 2011's "Femme Fatale."
Her album will be released right before her Vegas residency begins. Tickets for her Vegas show are currently on sale.
