iOS 7 owners are still experiencing issues with the iMessage app despite Apple Inc.'s latest update for the mobile operating system.

As Latinos Post reported, iOS 7 launched worldwide on Sept. 18, but iPhone owners have complained about iMessage not being "activated."

Apple has issued the iOS 7.0.2 update, but it appeared no improvement for the iMessage issue was included.

With the problem still occurring, iOS users went to Apple's Support Communities to share their stories and seek a solution.

VictorTran wrote, "After downloading the new iOS7 to my iPhone4s I've been unable to send iMessages to other people. I am able to receive iMessages however cannot respond to them via iMessage. It continues to tell me that it is sending but never sends. I end up having to change the message to SMS and then send instead."

Meanwhile, jathon0815 complained, "I had the same thing happening to me on my iPhone5 and my iPad3. I power cycled them both and iMessage was working after they came back up. No reset of the network settings needed. Might not work for everyone, but that's what worked for me."

A solution was provided in the Apple Support Communities thread with a phone reset or tapping Settings, then General, then Reset, and finally Reset Network Settings.
