Rachel Berry has finally made it to the Broadway stage... albeit only for a few minutes.

Rachel (Lea Michele) left most of her McKinley friends behind to chase her dream of being on Broadway. Last season, she got a callback for the lead for a "Funny Girl" revival, which is one of her favorite musicals due to her love for her idol, Barbra Streisand. In the season premiere, we get to see the callback audition, which features cameos by Peter Facinelli ("Twilight") and Ioan Gruffudd ("Ringer").

You can watch a sneak preview of the callback audition here

Santana (Naya Rivera) also moved out to the Big Apple with Rachel to chase her dream of being an actress. In the new season, Santana will finally book a commercial (for a feminine hygiene product).

While chasing their dreams in the big city, Santana and Rachel will meet Dani, an artist played by former Disney star Demi Lovato. Dani and Santana will become romantically involved this season. Dani, of course, will sing with Rachel and Santana, and will also be joined by Adam Lambert, who also has a guest starring role this upcoming season.

Meanwhile, the New Directioners back at McKinley are in for an interesting year. It was recently announced that a certain malicious ex-cheerleading coach will return to the high school as the new principal.

Nevertheless, there is a lot to be happy about. The first half of the two-part premiere, called "Love, Love, Love," kicks off with the kids getting a big assignment to sing Beatles tunes. The students will sing Beatles songs in Sgt. Pepper outfits and flowing hippie-style dresses to reflect the different musical styles of the Fab Four.

The new season will also conclude the cilffhanger between Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss). If we can glean anything from the promo photos, the outcome of the apparent proposal will be a good one.

McKinley will also welcome a new mean girl, a Cheerio name Bree played by Erinn Westbrook ("Switched at Birth").

"Glee's" fifth season airs on Thursday, September 26 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
