England's greatest rivalry faces off in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday in a match up between Manchester United and Liverpool.

The big story of the match will be the return of Luis Suarez for Liverpool. The Uruguayan completed his 10-game ban this weekend. According to Liverpool Coach Brendan Rodgers, the scorer is excited to make his long awaited return to the Reds.

"He certainly comes back into the squad and we're delighted to have him. It's been a really difficult time for him in terms of not playing games," said Rodgers, according to ESPN. "But I've got to say he's been fantastic in the way he's prepared himself over the last few weeks. He's really champing at the bit now to come back and help the team."

Rodgers noted that he was unsure about whether he would start Suarez in the game or not.

"So he'll travel with us and we'll reflect over the next 24 hours whether he starts or not," he added.

While Liverpool will get its premier scorer back, United will be without its top finisher. Robin Van Persie continues to suffer from an injury.

"I don't think Robin van Persie will play on Wednesday, but he has an outside chance for Saturday," said United coach David Moyes, according to ESPN.

In Van Persie's the team was destroyed 4-1 against Manchester City on Sunday.

Liverpool is also coming off a loss against Southampton in the Premier League.

Prediction: United manages a 1-1 draw with Liverpool.
