The Nokia tweet added, "At Nokia, we never stop innovating. More to share on October 22 #Nokia #innovationreinvented."
An image was attached to the tweet showing what appears to be two people skiing on either snow or sand. As tweeted respones to Nokia seemed to indicate, the location of the image looks to be Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
The image also featured three words with hashtags, "#blazing," "#stories" and "#innovationreinvented."
It is unknown what device Nokia plans to reveal, but it may be the Lumia 1520 or a Nokia Windows RT tablet.
As Latinos Post reported, the Lumia 1520 was rumored to debut in September but sources claimed the event would be delayed to October.
The Lumia 1520's rumored features include a screen size of 6 inches with 1080p resolution. If the 6-inch screen size is proven accurate, the Lumia 1520 would become the largest Windows Phone device to date. Additional alleged features for the Lumia 1520 are a 3,400mAh battery capacity, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 32GB of internal storage.
According to a report from WPCentral, the Lumia 1520 will launch with U.S. mobile carrier AT&T by early November, specifically on Nov. 8. WPCentral Editor-in-Chief Daniel Rubino noted that the phablet will be available in four colors ranging from black, red, white and yellow.
Latinos Post also reported on the speculated Nokia 10.1-inch Windows RT tablet nicknamed "Sirius."
According to The Verge, the "Sirius" might have a 6-megapixel rear-facing camera with a 2-megapixel variant on the front. In regards to the display, the 10.1-inch screen will have 1,920x1,080 resolution. The tablet could also come with 2GB of RAM.
"We understand Nokia is aiming for 10 hours of solid battery life with LTE connectivity. Other features include a microSD port to extend the 32GB of storage, a Micro HDMI connector, and a Micro USB port," added The Verge's Tom Warren.
The tablet was rumored to debut on Sept. 26.
