Daniel Bryan started off the night celebrating winning the WWE Title at Night of Champions but the good mood was killed quickly by Triple H, who ordered the WWE title held up because of referee Scott Armstrong's fast count in favor of Bryan, which Triple H said was proof of a conspiracy to snatch the title away from "the Apex Predator." Triple H fired later Armstrong while Orton nailed Bryan with an RKO after being stripped of the title.
MATCH 1: United States Champion Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler (non-title)
Ziggler managed to get a measure of revenge after losing his U.S. Title match at Night of Champions, nailing the champion with a Zig Zag to get the pin-fall victory.
WINNER: Dolph Ziggler
MATCH 2: Fandango vs. R-Truth
Still hurting from the Figure-Four Leg-Lock The Miz used for his victory at Night of Champions, Fandango limped around to a victory over R-Truth, nailing him with his flying leg-drop for the pin.
WINNER: Fandango
Dusty Rhodes makes his way to the ring to listen to Stephanie McMahon's business proposition: she would allow one and only one of his sons - Cody or Dustin - to return to the WWE but not both. McMahon told Rhodes the choice was his as to who would continue their employment with the company. Rhodes refused, which brought out The Shield to surround the ring. McMahon held off The Shield from attacking Rhodes, calling for The Big Show to come down the ring and ordering him to either watch The Shield take out Rhodes or he could put "The American Dream" out of his misery with a WMD. The Big Show ended up knocking out Rhodes and took him to a hospital right away to get medical attention.
MATCH 3: Brie Bella and the Funkadatyls vs. Layla, Alicia Fox, & Askana
The Total Divas defeated Layla, Alicia Fox, and Askana though tensions seem to be running high among the E! reality show stars, with the Funkadatyls annoyed that Bella made the blind-tag and earned the pin. Meantime, Natalya and WWE Divas champion AJ Lee did commentary during the three-woman tag-team match, with Natalya still fuming about tapping out to AJ's Black Widow hold, and slapping the headsets off the champion's head.
WINNER: Brie Bella and the Funkadatyls
MATCH 4: Rob Van Dam vs. Damien Sandow
Rob Van Dam proved to the Money In The Bank suitcase holder why he is the number one contender to Alberto Del Rio's World Heavyweight title. RVD caught "The Enlightened One" with a Five-Star Frog Splash for the three-count.
WINNER: Rob Van Dam
MATCH 5: Randy Orton vs. The Miz
The Miz's excitement to be wrestling in front of his hometown crowd and his mother did not last long after Orton attacked The Miz outside the ring prior to the start of the match. The action eventually spilled onto the apron floor, with Orton nailing The Miz with a Hanging DDT off the barrier (in front of his friends and family who were ringsides) before trapping his neck on a chair and dropping his knee on the chair to injure The Miz as his mother cried helplessly in the audience.
WINNER: No contest - double-count out
Paul Heyman came out, rolled out in a wheelchair after the punishment he received at Night of Champions - with Ryback right beside him. Heyman thanked Ryback for saving his life from CM Punk. Ryback told Heyman that he hates bullies and promised to defend him from CM Punk ever bullying him again before Heyman gave Ryback a peck on the cheek as a token of gratitude for bailing him out at the pay-per-view.
Match 6: Triple Threat Tag Team Elimination Match: Tons of Funk vs The Usos vs The Real Americans
With a shot at the tag-team titles on the line, Tons of Funk, The Uso Brothers, and The Real Americans faced off in a triple threat tag match to determine the number one contenders to The Shield's Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns' WWE Tag Team championships. Antonio Cesaro of the Real Americans eliminated Tons of Funk after Cesaro pinned Tensai but could not keep the advantage against The Usos, with Jimmy Uso powering out of Jack Swagger's Patriot Lock and setting up Swagger to take Jey Usos' Superfly Splash.
WINNER: The Usos
Match 7: Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns
Monday Night Raw general manager Brad Maddox confirmed earlier in the night that Bryan would take on The Shield's strongman, Roman Reigns, in the main event. Reigns used his power to manhandle the former WWE champion. Bryan kept his wits about him, using his guile to cinch in the Yes! Lock on the big man, only to have Randy Orton jump into the ring and punishing Bryan for the results at Night of Champion. Orton brought a chair into the ring in an attempt to take out Bryan much like "The Vipe" took out The Miz. The locker room emptied, with wrestlers like Rob Van Dam, the Usos, Dolph Ziggler, and the Prime Time Players fed up with how Orton and The Shield play the "numbers game," jumping into the ring to make the save, ending the show with "the boys" giving Bryan the celebration Triple H stole from him at the start of the show.
WINNER: Daniel Bryan via disqualification
