Before the Summer Olympics shift their focus to the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games, London promises to close the 30th Olympiad with a star-studded event.

Details have been minimal on who's performing and other acts, but it has emerged that a few popular bands are expected to belt out some tunes.

The Los Angeles Times are reporting the closing ceremony to be titled "A Symphony of British Music," and with the participation of the The Who and the Spice Girls, it definitely will attract people's attention.

The popular girl group has been seen rehearsing on Thursday performing on top of black taxi cabs at the Ford car plant in east London, according to NowMagazine.

Grammy award winner Adele is expected to return to the stage after announcing her pregnancy as well as up-and-coming British singer Ed Sheeran. Boy band One Direction, Pet Shop Boys, Jessie J, and Annie Lennox are also planned on taking part.

Rock band Muse confirmed their attendance as they'll perform the official theme song for the 2012 London Summer Olympics, "Survival."

"To me, this should be the greatest after-party in the world," Olympic Closing Ceremony Music Director David Arnold told the Telegraph. "If the Opening Ceremony was the wedding, then we're the wedding reception."

"[The closing ceremony] needs to be something where everyone, including the athletes, is going to be able to let off steam," added Arnold. "There are seven and a half thousand of them there, so it's a show for them all to get involved with, and hopefully it will wrap up the spirit of what these Games have been, which is slightly anarchic, slightly mischievous, funny, heart-warming, emotional, inspiring, and uniquely British."

The fun will certainly continue throughout the night in London's various nightclubs.

US swimmer Ryan Lochte was photographed leaving the Chinawhite nightclub, along with many other gold medalists due to their offer of free Golden Cocktail for Olympic winners. The Golden Cocktail is worth up to $3,150, according to Chron.

The most decorated Olympian in history was also seen partying. Michael Phelps, with his 22 medals, was seen in London's Soho district.

It's not only the Americans having fun, even British royalty, as Queen Elizabeth II's granddaughter Zara Phillips was seen dancing shoeless at Chinawhite. Phillips won a silver medal in equestrian.

The closing ceremony is this Sunday, at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
