Sporting Kansas City will look to extend its lead atop Group B of the CONCACAF Champions League when it takes on Real Esteli on Tuesday.

Sporting opened its tournament with a 2-0 road win against Esteli before following it with another 2-0 road win over Olimpia. Meanwhile, Esteli is looking for its first victory after losing to Sporting and being taken down 1-0 against Olimpia.

With a win on Tuesday Sporting would have a six point lead on Olimpia with one more game to play; meanwhile, Esteli would be eliminated from the contest with a loss Tuesday. Fortunately, the team will be on the road for its final two matches of the group stage. A draw would also eliminate Esteli; a second draw against Olimpia would also clinch the top spot for Sporting.

However, the team does not seem interested in simply earning draws in its final two games.

"Obviously, getting the win first is the most important thing," Sporting left back Seth Sinovic said, according to Major League Soccer's official website. "If we happen to get some goals on top of that, that would be huge. But we don't want to take anything for granted. We know that it's a tough team we're playing against, so getting the win first is obviously the most important thing."

"We did a lot of hard work on the road - two wins, four goals, two clean sheets," added Sporting manager Peter Vermes on Monday. "That's great. Now you can't take your foot off the gas pedal. Now it's time to really go after it, being that we're at home, and secure the result here. If we can do that, then we'll watch the game between the other two, and we'll go with ours against Olimpia after that."

Prediction: Sporting Kansas City should easily win 3-0 at home.
