The number one contender to The Shield's tag-team title will be determined via a gauntlet-style Tag Team Turmoil match, to be featured in the Night of Champions Kick-off show; airing via Youtube.com, WWE.com, the WWE App, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Samsung Smart TVs, Xbox, Sony PS3, Yahoo, Pinterest and Pheed; with five teams - The Prime Time Players, Tons of Funk, The Usos, 3MB, and The Real Americans - competing for a title shot against Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns of The Shield later in the night. The Prime Time Players have been getting a big push of late and expect them to fall at the hands of The Shield after facing a tough obstacle path to the title match.

Shield member Dean Ambrose defends his United States title against Dolph Ziggler - who has been the target of attacks by The Shield, of late. Ambrose and Ziggler should put on an entertaining match that may end with Ziggler failing to overcome the "numbers game" The Shield use to their advantage.

AJ Lee faces the challenge of Natalya, Brie Bella, and Naomi in her WWE Divas title defense at Night of Champions. AJ gave a blistering promo that has incensed the Total Divas cast-members. While the Total Divas will all team up against AJ to make her pay for her words, and with their E! reality show a ratings success, expect one of the Total Diva - Brie Bella - to win the Divas championship, with the match a highlight point for the reality show.

The only non-title match of Night of Champions features CM Punk taking on Intercontinental champion Curtis Axel and Paul Heyman in an Elimination Handicap Tag-Team match. Punk wants to get his hands on Heyman for costing him the Money In The Bank (MITB) suitcase and unleashing Brock Lesner on him at SummerSlam. CM Punk will find a way to eliminate Axel in order to get his finally his hands on his former mentor. Heyman is the master of the swerve, however, and may find a weaselly way to escape his just dues.

Rob Van Dam gets a title match against WWE Heavyweight champion Alberto Del Rio but will not have the help of his new amigo Ricardo Rodriguez, after Rodriguez lost his match against Del Rio on Friday Night Smackdown, which resulted in Rodriguez being barred from ringside at Night of Champions. While RVD is in great position to add the WWE Heavyweight title to his successful wrestling career - that includes winning both the ECW heavyweight title and the WWE Title, Del Rio will go to great lengths to retain his championship - even if it means getting himself disqualified.

Daniel Bryan finally gets his rematch after losing the WWE Title to Randy Orton at SummerSlam. The "Apex Predator" cashed in his MITB suitcase and defeated Bryan - with help from WWE COO Triple H - after Bryan defeated John Cena in a grueling main event match that was the culmination of Bryan's professional wrestling dreams. Since his defeat, Orton and The Shield have been assaulting Bryan, week in and week out, making an example of him to anyone in the locker room who challenges the champion. Bryan will fail to overcome the long odds stacked against him as Triple H will do "what's best for business" to find a way for "The Viper" to retain his title and prevent Bryan from winning back the championship.
