Catherine will stop at nothing to be reunited with Vincent on the upcoming season of "Beauty and the Beast."

The new promo for the CW show's sophomore season has been released, and it promises an action-packed season that is chock-full of juicy revelations. The 60-second promo shows Vincent (Jay Ryan) finally meeting the man who turned him into a "beast," played by Brian Tee of "Grimm" and "Crash." Meanwhile, Catherine (Kristin Kreuk) will team up with JT (Austin Basis) to find Vincent and facilitate justice.

However, Cat is unaware that the man who captured Vincent is her biological father. Her father, Agent Reynolds (Ted Whittall) is seen saying, "I hope my daughter doesn't get in the way again."

The stars of the show spoke to TVLine about the upcoming season's focus. "This season's all about building a very rich mythology," Kristin Kreuk said. "So procedural is completely gone now."

The show will come back after a three month time jump, and will focus on the characters' relationships and the history behind Vincent's "beast" powers.

This season will explore Vincent's character in depth. "For him, it's 'Is he a man, is he a beast?" Jay Ryan said. "And [about] trying to reconnect with Catherine and get that love back in their relationship."

This season may also include something that fans of the new "Beauty and the Beast" as well as the original fairytale have never seen before: a female beast.

TVLine confirms that newcomer Amber Skye Noyes will be joining the cast of season two as potentially the first female beast. Noyes will play Tori, the daughter of a beast. Cat and Vincent will serve as Tori's mentors, and they will clue her in on some surprising revelations about her life.

Will Vincent end up momentarily falling for Tori? It's a possibility; TVLine hints that Tori will be a redheaded seductress.

Noyes played Matthew's online love interest Michelle on "One Life to Live." She will debut on "Beauty and the Beast" in episode four and guest star in at least three episodes.

The second season of "Beauty and the Beast" will air on Monday, October 7 on the CW.
