Warner Bros. has revealed that Ben Affleck's Batman will be "tired" and "seasoned" in the upcoming Zack Snyder film.

During the Bank of America Merill Lynch Media, Communications and Entertainment Conference, CEO Kevin Tsujihara stated that Affleck's Batman would be "tired and weary and seasoned and been doing it for awhile."

Tsujihara also responded to fanboy complaints of Affleck's casting. He said, "We think it's the perfect springboard for Batman and Superman. Ben is perfect for the vision Zack has for that character. The fact that you saw such a passionate response in the blogosphere is really kind of a testament to the love that people have for this character."

The CEO concluded the conference by stating that the studio had a lot of announcements in the coming weeks.

Ever since Affleck was cast in the role of Batman, fan boys have criticized the choice, with some even crafting an online petition begging Warner Bros. to recast the part.

Affleck will follow the footsteps of four previous actors who portrayed the caped crusader. Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney and Christian Bale previously portrayed the superhero.

"Batman vs. Superman" is currently in pre-production with Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder slated to produce. The film will star Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne. The movie's music will be written by Hans Zimmer, while casting will be done by Kristy Carlson. Larry Fong recently signed on as the director of photography. The movie will begin shooting at the beginning of the year in Detroit. Warner Bros. will release "Batman vs. Superman" on July 17, 2015.
