Chloe Grace Moretz may have been cast in the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII."
According to Comicbook.com, the actress has been tweeting about "Star Wars" for the past few days. One of the most revealing tweets was when she wrote, "Already on 'Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.' Today was productive." Other comments on her twitter include "Darth Maul is terrifying," and she even posted a picture of Darth Maul with a comment stating "Total Creep."
It may be outlandish to think that Twitter comments are a confirmation of being cast in the new film. However, Moretz has been open about her excitement towards the project and hinted at being cast. In August during an interview with the Telegraph Moretz said, "Yeah, I mean I can't really speak about it. It's exciting and it would be a very cool thing to be a part of and I think JJ's brilliant but we'll see."
When the interviewer asked her if she was hinting at something, Moretz responded, "Yeah."
The actress has also expressed her interest in "Episode VII" to MTV. During an interview promoting her film "Kick Ass 2" she said, "I mean, obviously there's interest. It's 'Star Wars.' I'd kill to be a part of that franchise, but I don't know. JJ, I'll give you my phone number. You can text me."
The news has yet to be confirmed by LucasFilms or Disney. The production company has been quiet about casting and is expected to make formal announcements in the coming months.
"Star Wars: Episode VII" is set to start production in January and will be directed by J.J. Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy is producing the script by Michael Arndt, while Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford are rumored to return to the series. Disney will release the film in 2015.
