The season three opener of primetime soap "Revenge" will see two characters have a passionate reunion.
Jack (Nick Wechsler) and Emily (Emily VanCamp) will have a racy reunion in the season premiere. However, just because their relationship is great in the physical department doesn't mean they are emotionally simpatico.
Emily's reunion with Jack will not make her take her eyes of the ultimate prize: taking down the Graysons. Emily will kick the season off with a conniving plot against Conrad (Henry Czerny). The revenge plot will be one of Emily's most crafty takedowns to date.
The season will also begin with Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) starting a relationship with her long-lost son, Patrick (Justin Hartley). Yet, Michael Ausiello of TVLine said that their mother/son relationship is far from appropriate.
The season opener will also feature Daniel (Joshua Bowman) finding a new love interest in Margaux (newcomer Karine Vanasse).
A major character will be also be diagnosed with a life-threatening ailment in the season opener, which is sure to take that character's arc in a new direction.
Emily will also pay back Nolan (Gabriel Mann) for his huge favor to her, as well as enlist another character's help to get rid of Ashley Davenport (Ashley Madekwe).
Emily's takedowns in season three will play out over multiple episodes, and will delve deeper into Emily's psyche. Showrunner Sunil Nayar explained season three's plot changes to TVLine. "We're going to use them [revenge plots] to explore who Emily is a little bit more than we've had a chance to in the past," Nayar said.
The season premiere will also feature a moment of Emily and her enemy, Victoria, getting along. "We have a moment where we actually band together," VanCamp revealed to TVLine.
"Of course, like most of the truces forged by the sworn enemies, this one is short-lived. We put up this united front and then, after whatever it is is taken care of, it's like, 'OK, I'm outta here,'" VanCamp said.
The season premiere of "Revenge" airs Sun., September 29 on ABC.
