As we previously reported, the LG G2 is headed to T-Mobile stores on Sept. 25, with pre-orders already happening and a Sept. 18 release date online at T-Mobile.com. But if a flagship phone is not in your budget, you can get the next best thing at T-Mobile stores, starting Wednesday, Sept. 11.
Known as the LG Optimus F6, this low-cost handset goes on sale in most T-Mobile retail stores nationwide on Wednesday. The Optimus F6 is an exclusive to T-Mobile.
The LG Optimus F6 costs $289.99 at the full, unlocked retail price, but on T-Mobile's plan, it costs $49.99 up front, with $10 a month for the next two years, making it one of the most affordable new phones out there.
The LG Optimus F6 features an IPS LCD 4.5-inch screen, with a decent resolution of 540 x 960p.
The device is powered by a 1.2GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus system on a chip, with an Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM.
While the LG Optimus F6 skimps on built-in storage, offering only 4GB with the phone, it does come with a microSD card slot that can expand your storage up to 32GB more.
With the Optimus F6, you'll get a decent camera, coming in at 5-megapixels with LED flash, along with a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chatting or taking selfies.
The main camera can also take video with a quality of up to 720p HD, and T-Mobile promises the phone's camera software includes LG-exclusive advanced features.
Meanwhile, the LG G2 is coming to T-Mobile a couple of weeks later, with a 5.2-inch Full HD 1080p display, a 13-megapixel camera, and a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, clocked at 2.26GHz. That flagship device will cost $100 down and $21 a month.
