As the fading summer sun begins to weep, you can hear its final cries carried in early wisps of the autumn breeze. The days are dying. The sun rests its head at an earlier hour and the morning mist lingers as busy bees bustle along their morning commute. It's the perfect time of year. It's that magical stall between summer and fall. While its beauty can be lost in the angst of the approaching winter, it can be overcome with reminders of what the colder months bring. Nights by the fire. Holidays. Hot cocoa with marshmallows. Blankets of pillowy snow. And most importantly, television's best.
The majority of successful series save their season premieres for autumn. Winter caters to gazing at the television screen while bitter winds howl. So naturally, it makes sense that most networks want to save their heavy hitters for the coldest part of the year. One show in particular, that has remained one of the most cherished series for its past eight seasons, will make its return in a few measly weeks. Now more and more details help provide fans with an early glimpse inside the forthcoming ninth season of the hit series "Bones."
Last month, creator Hart Hanson hinted that Booth and Brennan’s nuptials would happen in an unexpected way at an unexpected time. And that will ring true in Season 9. According to TVLine, “Bones” will not make its fans wait until the end of the season for the big moment. In fact, the ceremony will take place closer to the premiere. It’s being filmed this week and is set to air sometime early this fall.
“We’ve been waiting over eight years for this, and we really want to deliver the wedding that everybody hopes for,” said executive producer Stephen Nathan. “It’s our intention that when [viewers] get an invitation, it’s well worth wearing a clean suit and buying a nice gift.”
“Bones” returns to FOX September 16.
