Georgia and Finland will look to salvage their World Cup hopes when they meet on Tuesday in their penultimate qualifying match.

The Finnish side currently sits in third place with six points in as many games. Finland can acquire a maximum of 12 points but would be eliminated if France defeats Belarus. Finland opened its tournament with a 1-0 loss against France. The team then drew 1-1 with Georgia before shocking Spain in a 1-1 draw. The team then picked up its first win in a 1-0 display against Belarus; in the rematch, the two sides drew 1-1. In their most recent game, the Finnish were utterly dominated by Spain in a 2-0 victory for the Iberians.

Georgia only has five points and can gain a maximum of 11; they would be eliminated from contention if they lose or France wins or draws against Belarus on Tuesday. Georgia started their tournament off with a 1-0 win over Belarus before pushing Spain to the limit in a 1-0 loss. The team then drew 1-1 with Finland before being trounced 3-1 in France. In their most recent game, the Georgians shocked the French by holding them to a scoreless draw.

Teemu Pukki leads the Finnish with two of their three goals in qualifying; meanwhile, three Georgians have provided goals for their nation in this tournament. Finland has conceded six times in the tournament while Georgia has allowed seven goals.

Prediction: Finland wins 2-0.
