Turkey will look to get back in the race for second place when it takes on Andorra in the World Cup qualifiers on Friday.

The Dutch have a stronghold on first place and are likely to extend their lead when they face Estonia on Friday. However, the race for second remains wide open in Group E. Currently leading the way is Hungary with 11 points; Romania sits in third with 10; and Turkey is just three points away with seven.

The Turks know that Hungary and Romania will be facing off and a draw between those two clubs gives Turkey a chance to remain within striking distance. A draw combined with a Turkish win over Andorra would leave Turkey with 10 points and place Hungary at 12 and Romania at 11. Turkey is slated to face Romania next Tuesday and could seize second on that day with a victory.

The road for Turkey thus far has not been an easy one. The team lost 2-0 against the Dutch in their first match, before managing a convincing 3-0 win over Estonia. In their third game, the Turks lost 1-0 against Romania and in their fourth match, Hungary took them down 3-1. Fortunes started to change in their game against Andorra, though, with Turkey winning 2-0; and a 1-1 draw with Hungary put them back on the map.

Meanwhile, Andorra has been the group's punching bag with six losses and 17 goals against; Andorra is still looking for its first goal of the group stage.

Prediction: Turkey pulls off a 3-0 win.
