After splitting from boyfriend Ernesto Argüello, actress and entrepeneur Eva Longoria seems to be doing just fine. The 38-year-old star spent Labor Day weekend relaxing in Italy, and shared the pictures of her dreamy vacations with her followers on Twitter, the Huffington Post reported.
Longoria visited Sardinia, the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, and according to her messages on the social networking site, she was sad to leave. "Bye bye Sardinia...back to the real world!" the former "Desperate Housewives" star captioned pictures where she can be seen wearing chic sunglasses, a colorful cover-up and a tiny bikini.
The actress is enjoying the single life after splitting from Argüello, whom she dated for four months. Split rumors started when it emerged that the couple had reportedly not been together since returning from Europe on Aug. 6. The Daily News reported that the actress retweeted a rather telling message on Aug. 6: "Sometimes the worst battle you have to fight is between what you know and what you feel," wrote Longoria.
According to TMZ, they both had busy schedules since Longoria spends most of her time in Los Angeles and Argüello lives in Miami, so the couple decided to split. One source told TMZ, "They're just on hold right now."
The couple met on the set of "Ready For Love," the dating show Longoria was producing. Arguëllo, a civil engineer and philanthropist, was a bachelor on the program and the actress started dating him once the show was cancelled.
TMZ reported that the couple traveled together to Europe and were spotted canoodling in Spain two weeks ago. According to The Daily News, they also visited Nicaragua, where Longoria met her 34-year-old boyfriend's family for the first time. She also introduced him to her family in San Antonio, Texas.
A source told People magazine the couple were serious. "It's very real - they're both in love, which is rare for him. They're always traveling together. His family likes her a lot ... they've never seen him so taken by someone."
"Eva is a firm believer in marriage," said the source. "Ernie may be a player when he is single, but he's never cheated on anyone and is very religious. I think the fact that he's so family oriented is what got her."
From 2002 to 2004, Longoria was married to "General Hospital" star Tyler Christopher. In 2007, she married San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker, but the couple divorced in 2011 after a heavily publicized infidelity scandal. Over the past two years, Longoria has been linked to singer Eduardo Cruz.
