It is the second day in a row that Google displays an interactive Doodle featuring an Olympic sport after all the previous Doodles were all static.
This time, Google made available a basketball shooting fiddle where people have 24 seconds to score as many baskets they can using the space bar.
A day earlier, Google made available a hurdles interactive where players used the arrow keys to propel a runner forwards while tapping on the space bar to jump past the hurdle.
Personally, the basketball version was more entertaining and the reason for it may be related to the fact that I enjoy watching LeBron and Kobe more than Lolo Jones (placed 4th in 100 meter hurdles final by the way) or other superstar runners like Usain Bolt.
Speaking about LeBron and Kobe, the 'Dream Team's' next game takes place today, Wednesday, August 8 at 5:15 p.m. EDT.
USA will face Australia in the 4th game of the quarterfinals and it'll look into adding one more game to its undefeated streak.
Although USA is favorite to win the Olympic basketball tournament, a quick and important reminder is the fact that a loss gets the team eliminated in this knock-out stage.
If USA beats Australia, it'll face the winner of the game between Brazil and Argentina.
The other four teams that also qualified for the quarterfinals are France and Spain, who play at 11:15 a.m. EDT; Russia and Lithuania who play at 9:00 a.m. EDT.
With all the basketball played so far in London, USA should have no problem overcoming Australia when the latter was beat by Brazil, Spain and Great Britain or opponents all defeated by the U.S.
USA is three games away from the Gold medal and a Beijing 2008 repeat.
USA's earning of the gold would certainly help the country battle against China in the medal race that as of August 8, stands like this:
China - 34 Gold, 21 Silver, 18 Bronze (73 total)
USA - 30 Gold, 19 Silver, 21 Bronze (70 total)
Men's Basketball: USA vs. Australia
Tipoff: 5:15 p.m. EDT / 10:15 p.m. London Time
Location: North Greenwich Arena
