Apple has announced a Sept. 10 event with a tagline that might refer to its long-rumored specs.

The Sept. 10 event was confirmed a week in advance with the tagline "This should brighten everyone's day."

The invitation for the event also features several bright-colored circles in blue, green, purple and yellow.

The tagline and bright colors might refer to the rumors of the low-cost iPhone that has been forecasted to be available in various bright colors.

As Latinos Post reported, per MacOtakara, sources claimed Apple decided to produce covers with the color saturation similar to the iPhone bumpers the Cupertino-based company already sells online. The report noted that the covers for the low-cost iPhone would be black, blue, orange, pink and white.

Tweets by Sonny Dickson also featured various images with colored cases for the iPhone in blue, green, red, white and yellow.

The event could also mark the debut of the iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 smartphone.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, in his latest note, stated the upcoming iPhone will be available in a gold casing. He also projected Apple will offer a larger 128GB storage than what is seen on the current iPhone 5.

"We reckon A7 will upgrade memory bandwidth spec to LPDDR3 from LPDDR2 adapted by A6, in an effort to improve system performance," Kuo added. "Since Apple is in charge of both hardware and OS design, it is capable of minimalizing memory capacity at an optimized state. Therefore, A7's RAM will likely be unchanged at 1GB."

The confirmation of the Sept. 10 event comes nearly one year after the Cupertino-based organization announced the Sept. 12 event for the iPhone 5 on Sept. 4, 2012.

Last September's Apple event, however, was a bit more blunt as it featured the number "5" in the banner. The September 2013 banner doesn't outright mention a new number.

According to Japan's Nikkei, the low-cost Apple smartphone could start its initial sales on Friday, Sept. 20 following its Sept. 10 special debut event.

The Sept. 10 event might also detail updates on iTunes Radio, iOS 7, and perhaps the iPod.
