Eminem fans are literally going berserk over his new rap single "Berzerk" which has gone viral and is already raking in high sales.
"Berzerk" is the first featured track released from the rap icon's eighth studio album, "MMLP2," which stands for "Marshall Mathers LP 2" and is scheduled to drop on Nov. 5. The single, which was produced by Rick Rubin, was teased in a commercial for Dr. Dre's Beats by Dre which aired during MTV's Video Music Awards on Aug. 29.
Since then, sales for "Berzerk" have skyrocketed. According to Billboard, members of the music industry predict the tune will "sell upwards of 350,000-375,000 downloads after only one week since its release.
Likewise, in 2010,"Not Afraid," the first single from his LP "Recovery," also sold 379,000 downloads in its first week and premiered at No. 1 on the Digital Songs chart.
There's also speculation that Marshall Mathers may treat fans by going on tour Australia. According to the Herald Sun, a big-name promoter named Paul Dainty will announce a slew of Australian stadium tours featuring Eminem as the headliner from February through March 2014; however, no exact dates have been confirmed.
Eminem has answered the calls of fans who have been patiently waiting for the Grammy Award-winning rapper to release his first new music and new full-length since his last platinum LP in 2010. His last album, "Recovery," won a slew of awards and sold more than 5.7 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling album of 2010. The album peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and featured the smash hit "Love the Way You Lie" with Rihanna, which topped the Hot 100 for seven consecutive weeks.
