It is the final day for gymnastics event for the American women in the London 2012 Summer Olympics, and American Aly Raisman and Gabby Douglas are hoping to bring another gold medal back to the states.

The final gymnastics event is the balance beam, and it seems to have given Douglas some difficult.

Douglas fell off the balance beam, bringing in a massive shock reaction from the crowd. Douglas will end her London Olympic journey with a 13.633 on the beam. She finishes seventh out of eight. The last place went to Russia's Victoria Komova with 13.166, who also fell off the beam.

Douglas, nicknamed "The Flying Squirrel" has already won two gold medals in Women's Team and Individual All-Around during the London games.

"I put my all into it," she said. "Overall, it's been a good journey."

For Raisman, she also faced trouble with the final score as she tried to get her first individual Olympic medal.

After performing on the balance beam, Raisman was given a score of 14.933, losing the opportunity for a bronze medal to Romania's Catalina Ponor, who scored 15.066.

However, after Team USA issued a protest, Raisman's score saw an improvement to 15.066.

The problem is Raisman now ties with Ponor.

The tiebreaker was decided based on who received higher executive scores. According to NBC producer Alex Ainsworth, Ponor's execution score was an 8.466, and Raisman scored 8.766, giving Raisman the edge and the bronze medal.

China dominated gold and silver, with Deng Linlin scoring 15.600 and Sui Lu going second with 15.500.
