Saints Row 4 has been a big hit for new publisher Deep Silver, and the game has managed to hit a critical milestone in the first week the game was available to gamers. It was announced to Gamespot that the game has sold one million copies, with the PC version of the game being the most successful versions of the game. Klemens Kundratitz, the CEO of Deep Silver parent company Koch Media, had this to say about the game's success:
"We are incredibly happy of the reception for Saints Row IV as a critical and now a commercial success. The development team at Volition is second-to-none as a driving creative force in the entertainment industry and we are very proud to have them as part of the Deep Silver family."
In addition to this big achievement, several cheat codes for the game have been revealed. However, by putting in these cheats the auto-save feature will be disabled and players will not be able to gain trophies or achievements.
By putting in the cheat code "cheese" users will be able to get 100 grand in cash, and users can imput this code multiple times to get even more money. "Letsrock" will give users a full loadout of randomly selected weapons. One random cheat, "fryhole", causes the dead bodies in the game to begin flying into the air. To help out gamers, the code "goodygoody" removes the Notoriety the player has, while "runfast" makes it so super-sprint does not drain the stamina meter. Several cheats affect the cars of the game. "Vroom" makes cars immune to damage, while "isquishyou" causes all cars driven by the player to run over other cars like a tank. Putting in "evilcars" will make every single car in the game attack the player. Finally, two codes will change the way pedestrians in the game will act. "Mascot" will make every pedestrian in the game dress up like a mascot, while putting in the cheat code "hohoho" makes all the NPC's into pimps or prostitutes. These cheat codes add tons of variety into the open-world game already full of crazy weapons and powers, so they should be a welcome edition for players who just want to fool around in the game.
Saints Row 4 was released on August 20, and Deep Silver will most likely have some DLC in the works, so keep it here for all the new information about the game.
