Carrie Fisher was very careful not to reveal any information on the upcoming "Star Wars Episode VII."
During the Fan Expo Canada, the "Star Wars" actress tried not to answer questions about the upcoming film. When asked if she would reprise her character Princess Leia, she stated, "It's not for me to talk about. I'm someone with a big mouth, and I get in trouble every time I talk about something, so anything to do with this ['Star Wars'] is not my ... thing to discuss."
Fisher might have kept her lips sealed on any developments with "Episode VII," but she showered praise on director J.J Abrams' work. She stated, "If they are doing a new movie, they have a director who's a terrific director. I think anything that he does should be greatly anticipated, because he's really creative."
Despite her unwillingness to speak on her own involvement with the new "Star Wars" film, Fisher revealed how she would like to see Leia "Epsiode VII."
"Not in a metal bikini ... unless they could involve Spanx somehow with it. I would like to shoot guns again if that came up. No, I couldn't say. It's the imagination. It's the storytelling. It's the fantasy element those films that appeal ...it's the fairy tale of the 21st century, so it's just nice being in a world that's an imaginative world that somehow seems familiar, but how could it?" said Fisher.
The actress was also asked about her thoughts on Geroge Lucas selling "Star Wars" to Disney. She replied "If someone offered me a couple of billion dollars for something, I might sell it, even if it was Star Wars." Fisher also expressed her hope of seeing Princess Leia incorporated more into Disneyland, saying "I'd like to be a ride. That is not a euphemism."
"Star Wars: Episode VII" is currently in pre-production with Fisher, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Anthony Daniels, Ian McDiarmid and Ewan McGregor rumored to star in the film. J.J Abrams will direct, while Kathleen Kennedy will produce. Michael Arndt wrote the script, and John Williams will compose the music for the movie. Disney is rumored to release the movie on Dec. 15, 2015, while production is scheduled to commence in January.
