Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Florez will have another child.

The Bel Canto singer revealed that his wife Julia Trappe is expecting the couple's second child, a little girl. He stated, "We are very happy to be expecting our second child and I would like stabilize myself in one place and travel as much. I know however that it will be inevitable because of my career."

The singer also said that he would reduce his number of annual performances. "I am going reduce the rhythm of my career in order to be more with my family. I think 40 concerts a years is a very convenient number. I think I used [to] sing 75 concerts a year," said Florez.

Florez also expressed his enthusiasm for his growing family. He said, "I have always wanted to have two children and I am very happy about it."

The singer also said that being a father has made his life more meaningful. "I already have a child, Leandro, who is 2 years old and it has been fantastic."

Florez recently performed Rossini's "William Tell" at the Pesaro festival where he received rave reviews. He also performed at the Yehudi Menuhin Festival. He next performs at the Salzburg festival and at the Vienna State Opera. The upcoming season will see Florez make numerous role debuts. He will sing Fernando in Donizetti's "La Favorite," and Romeo in Gounod's "Romeo et Juliette." He will also return to numerous roles in Bellini's "La Sonnanbula," Rossini's "La Cenerentola" and Rossini's "Il Barbiere di Siviglia."
