The Gareth Bale deal is in danger of falling through.
According to numerous reports, the Welshman failed to show up for training on Tuesday with his current club Tottenham Hotspur.
ESPN reports: "Sources have told ESPN that the player is hugely frustrated with the situation and determined to push the deal through."
The report indicates that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is upset with Real Madrid for setting up a stage in the Santiago Bernabeau to announce the arrival of Bale.
Moreover, rumors have emerged over the last few days regarding other potential deals being offered to the North London club for its top players.
Sky Sports recently wrote, "Tottenham are considering offers for Gareth Bale from more than one club and insist they have yet to agree a deal with Real Madrid."
BBC Sports published a similar piece and noted that Manchester United could be among the teams in the running for the 24-year-old superstar.
Other reports, including one from Managing Madrid, noted that Tottenham may be biding its time in order to make other acquisitions prior to the Bale move. Transferring Bale for 100 million euros would likely inflate the prices on other targets; Tottenham is likely looking to add new players before selling Bale at the Sept. 2 deadline.
A number of Madrid players have voiced their desire to see Bale in a Madrid uniform this season.
"He [Bale] is a great player," Isco said, according to ESPN. "If he comes it would be a 'blessed' problem for the boss. If he arrives I would have to welcome him, like all other new players."
